The lightened piston PRO of TopMax Elaborazioni is made with a compound based on DELRIN, Elastomer and Fiberglass, fused and industrially molded in specific percentages provided by TopMax Elaborazioni. The rack of this type of PRO piston is made of metal powders in M.I.M. (Metal Injection Molding), with a value of about 98/99% of full on the total.

The structure, both as materials and as geometry instead, make it one of the most resistant in the world to the stresses inside the GearBox. The PRO piston in DELRIN TopMax is compatible with all the GearBoxes V2 and V3 on the market and with all types of similar GearBoxes. We recommend the installation of the lightened PRO piston on the GearBoxes that DO NOT HAVE the window in correspondence with the piston seat, this to avoid that during movement with any ROF, there may be exits from the plate guides which can cause breakage and / or damage. important to the GearBox itself.

The rack in M.I.M., has been worked and made with the second missing tooth and the third tooth already lowered with a 30 ° bevel, in this way a perfect working cycle and engagement with the sector gear is generated. Metal Injection Molding allows to obtain components, normally obtained from bars, forged and / or molded, with greater and wider geometric flexibility while maintaining the characteristics of resistance and durability practically identical to those of the CNC process.

TECH TIP. The rack and the length of the PRO TopMax piston have been designed for perfect coplanarity with the teeth of the sectoral gears. This design peculiarity can lead, on some GearBoxes, to the fact that the piston touches the back of the GearBox shells before reaching the moment of release. For this reason, we STRONGLY RECOMMEND that the piston is free to disengage from the sector gear before it reaches the back of the GearBox shells. If this were not the case, but regardless in the opposite case, TopMax Elaborazioni RECOMMENDS to eliminate at least 1/2 release teeth (depending on the need and the GearBox) on all the preparations / configurations in which our PRO piston is used.

The STRESS-TESTS performed on the lightened piston PRO with rack in M.I.M. have been performed with springs and R.O.F. higher than those envisaged and by the Italian legislation on the matter, so the product will guarantee reliability, resistance, durability and very high performance even with decidedly high configurations.
