Its adoption creates an air cushion that dampens the blow between piston head and cylinder head ensuring maximum silence.
Using the supplied shims it is possible to find the right length of the train formed by piston and piston head, to obtain the best possible angle of engagement with the teeth of the sector.
The adjustment levels are 1-2-3- or 4 mm if all thicknesses are used.
The XPAA head can also be used without shims, like a normal piston head.
