The sole complex, which insulates from heat and cold, is slip-resistant, oil and fuel-resistant, as well as heat-resistant. The durable upper made of suede leather ensures optimal grip and support, while the durable PU sole provides good cushioning and high stability due to different degrees of hardness. The GORE-TEX membrane lining ensures an ideal microclimate inside the footwear, even during the most strenuous activities.

Midsole: 100% Polyurethane (PU)

Polyurethane (PU) is a soft plastic that has excellent cushioning properties and is mainly used for midsoles. The percentage of PU makes the soles lighter and more flexible in their function.

Insole: Approx. 10% Polyamide Polyamide is a synthetic plastic that can be used for the production of synthetic fibers. In addition to high strength, its main characteristics include shape retention, resistance to tearing and abrasion, and impermeability. Polyamides are also elastic, highly elastic, and very shiny. Felt is a fabric composed of a jumbled mass of fibers that are difficult to separate. This fabric is known for its high elasticity and thermal insulation properties, making it suitable for use in footwear as part of insoles and as an insulating wall.

Outer Material: 100% Suede Leather

Suede leather is the lower layer of the skin and is recognized by its filamentous and supple structure, which creates a soft surface with a nap. Due to its rough texture, suede leather is particularly durable and has very open pores. Depending on the desired look, suede leather can be left untreated or oiled or waxed.

A Comfortable Frame:

The Z-8S GTX C's midsole with the LOWA MONOWRAP® frame ensures maximum comfort. It is a three-dimensional midsole design developed by LOWA in 1995. This frame comfortably wraps around the foot and provides support on uneven terrain. The soles of models equipped with the STABILITY FRAME are raised.

Good Foot Control: The three-dimensional frame design optimally wraps around the foot.

More Comfort: The special structure of the midsole ensures a comfortable fit. The three-dimensional frame pleasantly envelops the foot.

Lightweight: The LOWA-MONOWRAP® frame is made of lightweight polyurethane material.

Sole and Upper Form an Integrated Unit:

The sole of the Z-8S GTX C is connected to the upper using a technically complex injection process, ensuring effective cushioning and high comfort. The upper part of the shoe is placed in a special mold, which is then filled with various layers of polyethylene foam. The result? A sole directly connected to the upper, forming a single unit.

Lightweight: Polyurethane is used in this process, which is a very lightweight foam.

Cushioning: Polyurethane is a very lightweight foam with excellent cushioning properties. Even when continuously compressed, the millions of bubbles it consists of retain their shape and always return to their original state. The result is a good rebound effect.

Highly Customizable:

Thanks to the direct injection process, a wide variety of sole variants can be produced. The various properties of the materials used allow for expansion and diversification of the shoe's areas of application.

Closed Shoes That Don't Get Caught:

The Z-8S GTX C features closed hooks that securely guide the laces and prevent the shoes from getting caught on objects.

The shoe has a medium flex stiffness.

Sole Injection Method:

The soles of LOWA multifunctional shoes are directly injected to ensure ideal cushioning and maximum comfort. It is a complex injection molding process that connects the Strobel-constructed upper directly to the sole, providing ideal cushioning and incredible lightness to the shoes.
