Arc Light Shooting Glasses Tan Edge tactical Photochromic lens ETAL2-PH
Vapor Shield lenses are anti-fog, not by treatment but by constructive and therefore permanent properties
Tan frame color with photochromic lens
The Arc Light shooting glasses were designed to protect those who serve. From first responders to our country’s finest, these tactical glasses serve up military-grade impact protection, advanced lens technologies and adjustable nose pads for unbeatable comfort. And they’re easy on the eyes and the wallet.
The top frame of the Arc Light was developed to keep the sun from attacking your vision from above and helps to keep glare at bay. Whether you’re looking for a pair of Z87+ sunglasses for the job site or shooting glasses for the range, the Arc Light delivers style, uncompromising protection and comfort. Plus, they come standard with our permanent anti-fog technology to keep your vision clear in foggy environments.
A hard case and eyewear retainer come standard with your purchase. The Arc Light even comes available in our G-15 lens, which can improve visual clarity.
Photochromic
If you work in environments with continually-changing light, glasses with photochromic lenses may be your new best friend. Our photochromic lenses transition from 22% light transmittance when in bright, outdoor conditions to 87% when in dark environments. Whether on the weekday or the weekend, our photochromic-equipped sunglasses work double time.
MIL-PRF 32432-A
Glasses certified to this Military Standard are often nicknamed “Ballistic Rated” because of the extreme velocity of impact tests performed against the lens in addition to the peripheral tests of ISEA/ ANSI-Z87.1+
Thin Temples
Our thin temples integrate comfortably with helmets, hats or hearing protection. By reducing unnecessary bulk in the cross section of the temple, we’ve created a more comfortable pair of eyewear. Eye protection shouldn’t be a burden. And with our thin temple technology, it isn’t.
MEGOL Details
Thermoplastic rubber (TPR), or MEGOL, is a composite that becomes tacky when exposed to moisture. We strategically place MEGOL details in our frames so they don’t slip around when you’re hard at work. You’ll find these details on the nose pieces or temple tips of our frames.
Vapor Shield Anti-Fog
We developed a permanent anti-fog technology in 1993 and named it Vapor Shield. Unlike other temporary fog proof coatings on the market, it’s infused into the lenses during the manufacturing process. The result is a permanent solution for stopping the buildup of fog-causing water vapor on the surface of the lenses.
The world’s first “Military Grade” Anti-Fog which is completely resistant to humidity, steam, fog and condensation in the most extreme conditions and temperatures. The result? Clear, pristine vision.
Impact Rated
All of our lenses are made of shatter-resistant polycarbonate. This material is lightweight, blocks 99.9% of UV radiation and defends against projectiles or blunt forces with its natural strength. Our lenses are always designed with the strict safety standards of ANSI, or the stringent MCEPS military requirements, in mind to bring you total peace of mind.
Warnings for Ballistic Glasses
Ballistic glasses are essential protective equipment for shooting ranges, airsoft, and other activities where eye safety is critical. To ensure maximum protection and durability, carefully follow these warnings:
Usage and Maintenance:
- Use only for protection against mechanical impacts as specified by the product certification.
- Do not use damaged glasses or lenses that are scratched, cracked, or deformed.
- Clean lenses with a microfiber cloth and appropriate cleaning solutions to avoid damaging anti-fog and anti-scratch coatings.
- Do not use harsh solvents, alcohol, or corrosive chemicals on the frame or lenses.
- Store in a hard case or protective pouch when not in use to prevent scratches or deformation.
Safety and Limitations:
- Do not expose to excessive temperatures (e.g., car dashboards under the sun) to prevent material deformation.
- Do not modify or tamper with the product, as this may compromise its protective effectiveness.
- Do not use as standard sunglasses unless the product offers certified UV protection.
- If the model includes rubber or foam inserts, replace them periodically to maintain comfort and fit.
- Regularly check certification and compliance with current safety standards (EN 166, ANSI Z87.1, MIL-PRF-32432, etc.).
General Warnings:
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Do not use for purposes other than those intended by the manufacturer.
- After a significant impact, replace the glasses even if no visible damage is present.
- Ensure compatibility with other personal protective equipment (e.g., helmets, hearing protection, masks).
These warnings ensure the correct and safe use of ballistic glasses, preserving their performance over time and effectively protecting eyes from impacts and debris.
