Advanced Ballistic Protection

Unlike EN 166 certification, which tests impact resistance against a 6 mm steel ball at 45 m/s, Cofra Gunner glasses are tested according to STANAG 4296 and STANAG 2920, ensuring protection against 3.6 mm, 325 mg projectiles fired at 215 m/s (774 km/h), with even higher resistance demonstrated in laboratory testing.

STANAG 2920 certification also defines the V50 ballistic limit, which represents the velocity at which a projectile has a 50% chance of penetrating the lens, ensuring maximum safety for the user.
