RAO II Expeditions - Folding Knife for Bushcraft and Expeditions

The RAO II Expeditions is part of the Expedition series, a new range of tools dedicated to exploration professionals. This model features a folding blade, offering high functionality and performance for bushcraft and survival activities.

The professional tools in the Expedition series maintain the same performance, reliability, and high quality as all the tactical tools provided by Extrema Ratio to military and law enforcement special forces. Despite its compact size, the RAO II Expeditions is designed to deliver functionality and robustness comparable to larger-sized products. Like other models in the Expeditions series, the RAO II Expeditions has a desert-colored handle and sheath.

The blade is made of Böhler N690 steel, heat-treated to 58 HRC, and features a MIL-C-13924 black finish and a stone-washed surface treatment (Dark Stone finish).

The RAO II Expeditions has an ergonomic handle with rounded upper sides and a drop point blade. It is derived from the RAO model with a tanto point blade, adopted by the 185th Reconnaissance and Objective Acquisition Regiment 'FOLGORE' (185th RAO).

This new folding knife in the Expeditions series is well-suited for heavy-duty tasks due to its particularly robust opening locking mechanism. Additionally, it is equipped with a safety system that transforms it into a true fixed-blade knife.

To ensure a 100% secure locking mechanism, a threaded steel pivot is applied, which is seated in the two holes on the guard of the sturdy anticorodal aluminum handle. By screwing the pivot into place, maximum user safety is ensured. All models in the Expeditions series come with a desert-colored sheath and include a firesteel among other tools.

The RAO II Expeditions is supplied with a desert cordura sheath, which is an essential component of the carrying system. This particular sheath allows the knife to be carried with the blade closed in the dedicated front pocket or with the blade open in the designated compartment, featuring a double-clip lanyard security system. In addition to the firesteel, a diamond sharpener is also included.

The MOLLE-compatible sheath attachment system allows for easy carrying on tactical vests and standard belts.
