Satre is a pocket-sized, light and extremely resistant fixed blade knife. Given its characteristics, it can be employed in a large variety of activities and fields, including survival and bushcraft, or it can be part of an EDC kit (Every Day Carry).
It was designed in collaboration with Daniele Dal Canto, a Master Advanced Instructor. It can be worn as a neck knife thanks to its Paracord 550 lanyard.
atre is a compact, lightweight, and extremely durable fixed-blade knife. Given its characteristics, it finds application in a wide range of disciplines and uses, including survival activities, bushcraft, or as part of an EDC (Every Day Carry) kit.
It was designed in collaboration with Daniele Dal Canto, a Master Advanced instructor. In Neck Knife mode, using a paracord 550 cord, it can be worn around the neck with the knife held vertically and the handle facing downward.
The metal eyelets on the pre-shaped Kydex sheath allow for the attachment of both the cord and accessory carrier. Starting from January 2022, exclusively on www.extremaratio.com, the ULTICLIP system will be available as an optional accessory. It allows the sheath to be attached not only to belts but also to pockets, pants, jackets, shirts, and t-shirts.
ULTICLIP enables the knife to be positioned horizontally or vertically, making it suitable for both left-handed and right-handed users. All three versions of Satre come with a black sheath as standard, while the desert sheath can be purchased as an optional accessory.
The skeletonized full-tang structure allows for personalization by using paracord as a handle wrapping.
Satre is available in three versions with two different types of steel: The Black and Stone Washed versions use heat-treated Böhler N690 steel with a hardness of 58 HRC. This material is chosen for its resistance to oxidation, edge retention, and proven reliability over the years.
The Black S600 version, on the other hand, utilizes Böhler S600 steel. This steel is commonly used in industrial production for manufacturing metalworking tools and molds.
Its high content of molybdenum, tungsten, and a significant presence of vanadium in its chemical composition provide excellent hardness, wear resistance, and toughness.
The presence of cobalt promotes the formation of small, evenly distributed carbides, which enhances wear resistance. The Satre S600 undergoes tempering and cryogenic treatment, resulting in an exceptional hardness of 64 HRC. This gives it excellent wear resistance and ensures long-lasting sharpness. Böhler S600 has 4.5% chromium, making it a stainless steel. For this reason, Extrema Ratio has chosen the new EXP DARK coating.
The high hardness and wear resistance of this steel make it challenging to sharpen. To ensure that your SATRE always maintains a sharp edge, we recommend using the Extrema Ratio double-grit (diamond-ceramic) sharpener.
