The FULCRUM is a milestone among multi-role knives. Widely employed in Afghanistan as standard equipment by the members of the Italian 'Nibbio' mission, it is part of an experimental project for the renewal of individual equipment undertaken by the Alpine Troop Command. During the preparation of this important mission, the Alpine Troop Command coordinated a team of companies in the development of a complete and revamped experimental individual equipment. Extrema Ratio is the company that the Alpine Troop Command selected and contacted for the development of a multi-role knife suitable for line infantry, a knife that could be used in all latitudes and successfully address any kind of issue that more specialized equipment could not solve. The success was such that this multi-role knife led to the development of the Fulcrum Bayonet, with the same characteristics but attachable to the standard rifle. The FULCRUM is an extremely robust and versatile knife. The blade can withstand breaking loads exceeding 150 kg, the tip is very sturdy, and the profile allows for extended use of the knife without affecting the sharpness of the last section. The forward center of gravity and the weight of the blade make it suitable for heavy fieldwork. It is available in the FULCRUM E.I., FULCRUM BLACK, and FULCRUM DESERT WARFARE versions.
