The Boonie Hat Mod 3 by Invader Gear, in Ranger Green, is an updated variant of the classic hat introduced by the US military during the Vietnam War and later adopted in various conflicts by multiple countries. Although primarily designed for hot, tropical climates, the Boonie Hat has proven its versatility across different environments, becoming one of the most widely used military headwear.

The Mod 3 Boonie Hat is made from high-quality rip-stop fabric, ensuring durability and resilience. Compared to the original design, this version includes several improvements: the hat's brim has been slightly narrowed to avoid snags in bushes and dense foliage while maintaining its performance. Additionally, a fabric strip has been added to allow the attachment of branches and foliage, enhancing the hat's camouflage properties and breaking up the head's silhouette. Hook-and-loop panels have also been added on the rear and top for attaching patches or identification panels.

The hat features four side vents to improve breathability, and a simple yet effective chin strap prevents loss of the hat, offering slight adjustability through a polymer stopper.
