PowerCoat is a galvanic surface treatment for ammunition introduced by H&N in the 1990s and established to this day.
The shot has a 20% higher hardness than comparable conventional lead shot, and is characterized by a greater impact force for the same weight. The complete encapsulation of the lead core prevents the formation of lead residues near the muzzle at high speeds, and also the fingers remain clean during the loading phase.
